With the Ford GT Race Car "No.69", the Chip Ganassi Racing team competed in this year's 24-hour race in France. The nimble speedster is equipped with the Ford EcoBoost 3.5 liter V6 engine and shows every opponent how to put the more than 600 hp on the road. In Carrera, you can use the super sports car for a drift duel on your home racing track and prove to your friends that you have what it takes to be a champion.

The new Ford GT is a milestone in a product offensive. By 2020, the Americans want to present more than twelve new sports cars or sporty model variants, which are to be developed by the Ford Performance team. This means that the technology transfer is still complete. The experience gained by the racing department in motorsport is to be increasingly incorporated into the series and thus sharpen the dynamic profile of the brand with the plum.


You couldn't just buy a Ford with gullwing doors

The new Ford GT wasn't easy to buy. In an application process, you had to recommend yourself for the purchase. This super sports car with a monocoque and aluminium frame accelerates the selected owner up to 347 km/h. The twin-turbo V6 produces 656 hp in the normal version. The new edition of the Ford racing icon is expected to heat up the Porsches and Audis in the GTE Pro class as early as 2016 at the French endurance classic Le Mans - exactly 60 years after Ford's first victory. However, the return to the big stage is not completely unprepared: Ford has been testing the engine in the cars of the Chip Ganassi racing team for some time and has already celebrated three victories in 2014. In addition to the chic bodywork, the huge diffuser is particularly eye-catching, which decorates the rear like a long appendix and is supposed to provide a lot of downforce. The slot car is equipped with front, rear and brake lights. The car can be controlled digitally and can also be individually coded. This car provides unique action, brilliant overtaking manoeuvres and top-class fun on every Carrera race track.
