Collector's item sought after worldwide This sports car was produced from 1978 to 2002. The special features of the RX-7 are its Wankel engine and the folding headlights. The RX-7 (code: FD) was built from 1991 to 2002 and represented the consistent further development of its predecessor. With a further improved and still turbocharged engine, an output of 206 kW (280 hp) was achieved in the last expansion stage. The FD was the most powerful model in the RX-7 series. Especially in this version were also a lavishly dimensioned brake system and bucket seats. In the almost 25 years of the entire series, 811,000 vehicles were produced.
