The NASCAR Lightning McQueen from the Disney* Pixar film series is named after the late Pixar animator Glenn McQueen and racing driver Steve McQueen. During the first movie, Lightning learns what it means to be a friend and how greed influences people. His girlfriend Cruz Ramirez is young and ambitious and even had Lightning McQueen as her role model in younger years. She has great respect for Lightning and is proud to be trained by him.
