An iconic vehicle in endurance racing
The legendary Graham Hill raced the Ford GT 40 MkII through the famous 24-hour race in northern France. To this day, Hill remains the only race car driver to have won the Triple Crown of Motorsports—that is, victories in Formula 1, the Indy 500, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Ford GT 40 was redesigned specifically for the 1966 season—the 4.7-liter engine was replaced with a larger, more powerful 7.0-liter engine. Graham Hill, who had already won two Formula 1 world championship titles, is still considered one of the greatest race car drivers of all time.
