One of the most exciting parts of writing a club report is always the research beforehand. You can either focus on the car, or—naturally—try to find out more about the racing team. Or both.

A lot has already been written about the Ferrari 458 GT 2, and Carrerathere’s really no need to say much more about the Carrera car itself. The 458 is one of the most beautiful cars in the current lineup (and this is coming from someone who doesn’t really care much for modern Ferraris).
The handling of this Maranello-built speedster is outstanding; only its slightly excessive weight sometimes dampens the driving pleasure a bit.


What was more exciting for this report was the research on the team.

A.T . Racing?
Behind this name lies a Belarusian father-and-son driving duo who live in Mödling, Austria. The racing team is based in Vienna. Alexander Talkanitsa Senior founded the racing team in 2008; prior to that, he drove for the Italian team AF Corse (which has also Carrera produced several models Carrera), for whom he still occasionally races today. AF CORSE is a partner of AT RACING. In 2008, AT was still racing the Corvette C5R; now they race only Ferraris. Since 2010, the driver lineup has been bolstered by his son, Alexander Junior, who also races for AF CORSE. And quite successfully, as evidenced by, among other things, their victory in the 12-hour race at Mugello in 2014.
