Art.Nr. 23935 And
once again, there’s a BMW flat-top racer in 1:24 scale: the M1 Procar ZOL AUTO, Item No. 23935.
The car, bearing No. 72, took the starting grid on June 14, 1981, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The drivers were the Frenchmen Servanin, Ferrier, and Rousselot, competing for the French ZOL AUTO racing team. Unfortunately, the team failed to finish the most grueling and physically demanding race in automotive motorsports and retired after 210 laps due to technical problems, having completed about 60% of the scheduled race time.
Behind ZOL is the local BMW dealer in the small French town of Boulogne-Billancourt, southwest of Paris. Well, the town has about 120,000 residents, so let’s assume the BMW dealer could afford the sponsorship. By the way, the retailer still exists today:

And what’s behind the sponsor VSD? That wasn’t all that easy for a Teuton to figure out. Let me quote Wikipedia: VSD is a French tabloid magazine published by Prisma Media, based in Paris. VSD stands for Vendredi, Samedi, Dimanche (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
The magazine was founded in 1977 by Maurice Siegel. It covers celebrity gossip, police reports, and current events. In 2016, the circulation was approximately 100,000 copies per issue. https://vsd.fr/
Incidentally, a second BMW M1 bearing VSD advertising also competed in the 24-hour race at that time (with a similar livery at the start); the drivers were Messrs. Darniche, Cecotto, and Alliot. However, they drove for the BMW Italy/France team. And did they cross the finish line...? ????
