The Pink Lady…
When men think of pink cars, the first thing that comes to mind is BARBIE. Okay, I’ll admit it, that’s a total cliché, but when I got Susie Stoddart’s current DTM AMG-Mercedes on the table, my first reaction was: Barbie car! (which is why I immediately nicknamed it PINK LADY)
But, after getting over that initial eye-strain shock and taking a deep breath: This car has something special!
Compared to the endless silver or black versions, the Persson Motorsport Team’s current car is definitely a real visual treat for theCarrera racetrack. Since 2008, the cute Scot (yeah, yeah, I know, another cliché) has been racing in the 2007 AMG Mercedes C-Class. So far, she hasn’t been as successful as the former British karting champion had hoped, but there’s still time. In any case, she’s driving one of the most eye-catching cars on the track in her TV-Spielfilm Mercedes.
Carrera She’s done an excellent job with the Mercedes, though. Visually, there’s nothing to complain about—the TV-Spielfilm magazine cover as a water deflector on the roof is a nice touch. Technically, the car has a lot to offer as well: Although the Benz still has the “old” chassis, it was one of the best cars on the track back then and can easily keep up with today’s cars. The reason: wide axles/tires, low center of gravity—the optimal combination. The car literally sticks to the track, takes corners cleanly and smoothly, and does so with very lively acceleration.
A race car that leaves nothing to be desired. Have fun with it!
