In addition to the model’s successful form, the “Boss” design is a real feast for the eyes. Quite a few people—myself included—will wish for this look in the larger scale as well.
The model (chassis):
Here, only well-known and proven technology is used. Fortunately, the front axle is a solid design, and the lighting produces only minimal glare.
The model (body):
At a 1:32 scale, some compromises are always necessary, yet the model is just as impressive as its larger counterpart from every angle. Only time will tell whether the rear fins are just as prone to breaking as on the old Universal 132 model.
Test drive:
There’s nothing to say about handling with a full set of magnets—it races around the track at top speed without hitting the limit. But the little M1 becomes a true racer when you remove the rear magnet. It’s still fast, but always neutral and easy to control through the turns. The limit is wide and gives plenty of warning. A downside, however, is the rather loud and booming driving noise.
