Ford GT 40
An icon in motorsport
It happened in 1966 at the world's most famous race in the northwest of France: the light blue Ford GT 40 was to cross the finish line first, beating arch-rival Ferrari in the process. Shortly after the Fords with starting numbers 1 and 2 crossed the finish line and the race was waved off, the confusion was great. Four drivers thought they had won the race. However, due to the longer distance covered, the GT 40 with starting number 2 won, although the car with number 1 was in the lead. It was the closest finish of the race. The Ford GT 40 was redesigned especially for the 1966 season - the 4.7-litre engine was replaced by a larger, more powerful 7.0-litre engine to win the race.

Ford fought bitterly for the crown in the sports car championship in 1966. The slot car on a scale of 1:24 is a tribute to the car of yesteryear. With the legendary blue 1966 No. 1 paintwork, the car whizzes away from everyone on the Carrera racetrack. Equipped with front and rear lights, as well as brake lights, it can reach its top speed on the race track without being overlooked. The car can be controlled digitally, but can also be used in analogue mode and can also be individually coded.
