It's a Porsche 917K, and it comes with the Gulf livery. This article could really end there, because both of these factors will ensure that this model will sell well.
Even if the 1:32 scale doesn't quite match the level of detail of its larger brothers, the model still turns out to be a very attractive slot model. To achieve this visual finesse, a small compromise had to be made on the technical side: instead of the standard engine, a flatter engine from the Formula cars was used. While this achieves high revs, it also has a somewhat sharper characteristic and, in my opinion, is therefore not as smooth to control. Thus, while the little Porsche 917K is very fast, it is not exactly easy to drive. In addition, the body makes a very loud roaring noise. This won't deter true 917 fans, but my favorites remain the cars based on slightly more recent models.
